A range of activities will be offered each day to meet the development and recreational needs of the children in attendance.

Activities range from:

  • Cooking
  • Art & Craft
  • Sporting
  • Group Games
  • Drama
  • Dress Up
  • Music
  • Active After School and much more

The program is put together with the help of staff & children’s input. The weekly program is displayed on the front door. Your feedback and suggestions on the program is welcomed. The program is evaluated on a regular basis, and we would value input by parents in regards to program content.

Homework Policy

Time and opportunity will be allocated to homework time. Responsibility for completion and standard of presentation remains with the parent/guardian.

Excursions

Excursions are planned in the Vacation Care Program. All children are asked to wear a red t-shirt on Vacation Care excursions. All excursions will be advertised in advance telling parents when it is, where it will be, what activities, transport & fees for the excursion. Parents will be requested to sign a permission slip for each excursion. Children who do not have signed permission slips on the day of the excursion will be unable to attend and their parents will be phoned to collect children. The Centre will make alternative arrangements for the care of these children.

Excursions will include all children enrolled on that day. No separate care is available for children not wishing to go on excursions.

Philosophy

We aim to provide a physically safe and emotionally secure setting where children can explore, socialise and expand their interests using a variety of experiences.

We encourage a supportive confidence building atmosphere that promotes physical, emotional, intellectual, creative and social growth.

We believe that all children are equal and have the right to be treated with dignity and respect.

We offer an environment with programs to support each child’s capabilities and interests according to their individual needs.

We support the family unit by acknowledging the importance of the link between the family and the child care option they choose. We encourage a spirit of warmth and respect between parents, the children and their careers.

We provide qualified / qualifying caregivers who show genuine love and concern for the children in their care and a service that is safe and well supervised.

The Centre encourages parental and community participation. It welcomes open discussion on all issues relevant to the Centre’s operation.
