On Friday our school community joined together to say NO to bullying in the National Day of Action Against Bullying and Violence. Students proudly wore orange to symbolise a commitment to stamp out bullying.
Dr Simon Petrie (author of the Pathways to Peace Program) started our day by conducting professional development with school staff. This was followed by a parent session (in the morning and afternoon) as well as working with each Year Level during the day. Students were supported in understanding 'what bullying is,' 'how we know it is bullying' and 'what we can do about bullying'.
Together, as a school, working together we can stamp bullying out. Please discuss any concerns you have with your child's class teacher or arrange a time to meet with myself or one of the Deputy Principals.
