Moggill State School is looking for a Playgroup Coordinator for 2020. If you are interested in applying, please email admin@moggillss.eq.edu.au.

About the Program

MSS Playgroup is an energetic, educational and social playgroup. The group provides a variety of exciting and interactive activities for children from birth to five and their mums, dads and carers. The Playgroup also gives families the opportunity to engage socially in the community.

Times and Location

The MSS Playgroup runs every Wednesday from 9am - 11am and 1pm – 3pm in the OSHC Room located at the rear of the school hall.

Duties

  • Volunteers are required to arrive at 8am and stay until 3.30pm for set up and pack up
  • Greet families when they arrive at the playgroup
  • Help to make first timers feel welcome and part of the group
  • Engage in conversation with the parents
  • Ensure that children are supervised at all times
  • Money handling / WH&S regulations conformance

Skills and Experience

  • Ability to multitask
  • Experienced and comfortable with children
  • Strong people, communication and listening skills
  • Sound understanding of boundaries and confidentiality

Qualities

  • Empathetic, caring and unprejudiced
  • Enthusiastic
  • Confident, friendly and non-judgemental
  • Able to interact with Moggill State School staff in a friendly, helpful and respectful manner
  • Willing to accept Moggill State School's core vision, mission and values, and represent the organisation within the framework

Additional Requirements

  • Blue Card
  • Attendance at the Community Links Volunteer Induction
  • Applicants may be required to undergo a Police check
