Last week the Kenmore Alliance of Schools demonstrated the strong partnerships we are building through joining together with Kenmore State School, Kenmore South State School and Upper Brookfield State School to moderate students' writing samples across Prep to Year 6, and in specialist subject areas (Physical Education, Music and Languages). Cluster moderation supports our teachers to work collaboratively with staff from our neighbouring schools to ensure we all have a common understanding of the achievement standards of the Australian Curriculum.
At the heart of the State Schools Strategy is our department's collaborative empowerment business model. This term, Principals from across the Kenmore Alliance came together to collaborate on the cluster Strategic Plan. The plan focuses on a number of core elements including:
Motto – Connected Communities
Mission – Developing 21st Century Learners
Vision – Every student engaging and achieving
Values – Connect-Collaborate-Support-Innovate
As an alliance, we have five key areas that we will focus our work on. These include:
By working together, communicating better with each other, developing our people and reviewing our performance, we are ensuring our schools are among the best in the world, ensuring the best outcomes for our students in the wider community.
