Do you know that our school is part of the Curiosity and Powerful Learning (C&PL) project? This project involves around 29 schools in our Metropolitan Region. Our focus of C&PL is around school improvement and in particular improving student learning. As a result of using a range of strategies centred on classroom practice and whole school culture, already we are seeing student improvement in many areas of their learning. A central theme of C&PL is encouraging students to be curious both inside and outside of the classroom and school. This may look like students being highly engaged and being provided with greater opportunity to be curious in topics or concepts that they are learning about. Being curious at home is an important part of a child's development. Please take the time at home to promote opportunities for your child/ren to be curious and challenged with their thinking. As a school we will continue to provide ways for this to occur in learning programs and school based clubs.
