Please remind your child that recording, downloading, distributing and publishing images of other people using personal devices, such as mobile phones, is not permitted at any time when on school grounds.
Mr Freeman spoke with Year 5 and Year 6 students last week about the importance of developing their digital literacy skills. Digital literacy refers to the skills needed to live, learn and work in a society where communication and access to information is dominated by digital technologies like mobile phones. With more students owning mobiles and having access to social media platforms, the explicit teaching of digital literacies is becoming more of a focus for our school.
With this in mine, we will be developing a new policy for Mobiles and Devices later this year as part of the Student Code of Conduct which will replace our existing Responsible Behaviour Plan.
