Leadership Induction

On Monday during Assembly we discussed the importance of LEADERSHIP BEING the BUSINESS of EVERYONE. We acknowledged the terrific efforts of our Semester 1 School Captains (Alyvia, Alexis, Cameron, Declan) who have led our school with enthusiasm and pride. We also announced our Semester 2 School Captains.

Congratulations to Callum, Lachlan, Ruby and Ashlee who have been elected as our Semester 2 School Captains. They were inducted into their leadership role during Assembly. We look forward to working with them as part of our school’s leadership team.

During the School Captain leadership induction I highlighted that every student within our school has a leadership role, regardless of whether they wear a badge or sign a student leadership agreement. We discussed the importance of leading by ‘doing and being our best’ as well as by being at school (on-time) in full uniform every-day. Students also show leadership by following our 4 school rules (Be RESPECTFUL, Be SAFE, Be RESPONSIBLE, Be IN THE RIGHT PLACE AT THE RIGHT TIME) using the PEACE Code as our tools. We also highlighted the importance of having and maintaining HIGH EXPECTATIONS of how we conduct ourselves (learning and behaviour) while at school. This may be during learning time in the classroom or at playtime on the oval. It is important that we continue to have HIGH EXPECTATIONS of ourselves and others while at school. Please continue to promote these important messages at home.
