We are looking for a suitable person to take on the role of paid Tuckshop Convenor, working 19 hours per week (8am-2pm Wed, 8am-2pm Thurs and 8am-3pm Fri). They will be responsible for rostering, advertising in Moggill Matters, daily operations, cashing up, ordering, maintaining the online ordering system etc. The convenor will work closely with the cook/caterer who will be responsible for cooking and preparing all of the "homemade" items for the week (including doing the shopping for the cooking), planning and preparing catering requests, assisting with ordering and being the back-up convenor. Both will work together, along with the subcommittee, on forward planning menu changes, deciding new homemade options, possible special lunches and other new ideas. The Convenor will need good skills in organisation and communication, be confident with word processing and online ordering systems, have a knowledge of food handling and retailing and be prepared to do any food safety training as necessary. Previous experience in food handling or hospitality management is preferrable but not essential. Applications for the Tuckshop Convenor position are to be emailed to by 5.00pm Tuesday, 8 December.
