Queensland Father of the Year Award

The Queensland Father of the Year Award honours and celebrates the importance of fathers and father-figures throughout our state and its local community. The aim of the award is to recognise the significant role fathers play in their children’s well-being and development and to raise awareness of the value of fathers in the family and the community. It identifies and honours outstanding fathers for their exceptional commitment to raising their children or for their exemplary contribution to the development of children in the community. Deserving fathers are rarely in the spotlight. You can help a father shine by nominating them. One lucky Dad could win five nights accommodation at Sea World Resort and Water Park. For more information or to nominate a father please visit the Queensland Father of the Year website.

Disc date claimer
There will be another Community Disco next Term, Saturday, 26 July. The disco is co-hosted by Moggill State School Chaplaincy and Moggill Scouts. There are further details to come. We are looking forward to seeing you there.

Athletics Hairspray Fundraiser

To enhance the community and house team spirit during our school Athletics Carnival on Thursday (19 June) and Friday (20 June), we will be offering washable hairspray to all students in return for a gold coin donation each day. This donation will cover the cost of the hairspray, with all proceeds going towards Moggill State School Chaplaincy. If you give permission for your child to have their hair sprayed, they will need to return their permission slip and gold coin donation to their allocated hairspray station on both Thursday and Friday morning. Permission slips will be given to students early next week. House captains will be applying hairspray under the supervision of a staff member, from 8.15am at the handball courts under the coloured sails.
