150 Year Celebrations

Moggill State School opened its doors on 12 February 1866.

Friday the 12th marked our school’s 150th birthday!

We commenced our celebrations on Friday, dressed in colonial clothing, participating in a range of 19th century activities throughout the day. On Saturday the 13th we conducted our 150th Year Ceremony, followed by a heritage trail around the school. Our day culminated in a bush dance for students, teachers and parents to partake in.

On Sunday the 14th, we held a breakfast for past and present staff and students, concluding the morning with a church service at St Michael’s Anglican Church. What a busy, yet inspiring program of celebrations for our 150th birthday.

A sincere thank you to our 150 Year Organising Committee, P&C, school staff, families and students for your support and participation in the program of events that helped us to celebrate this important milestone in our school’s history.
